I’m Jordan
I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s playing football in cages in South London. When I wasn’t trying to recreate my favourite Beckham goal, I was watching tennis on the TV or playing rugby on the school fields.
I was sports crazy!
Even then, I wanted to know more. I was fascinated by the why and how?:
Why do historical football clubs fall into financial ruin?
How do sports stars cement their financial legacy?
What are figures behind the world’s biggest sporting events?
I built The Long Play for people who think about sport in the same way. People who look past gossip and understand the real game is played outside the pitch.
I started The Long Play two years ago with a dream; to bring the business of sport to a million people.
It’s been a crazy journey; from a small idea to winning national awards and seeing the channel hit 120,000 faster than I could imagine.
But the next phase is different; we’re building an independent sports journalism movement powered by you, not advertisers or huge corporations.
This is for fans who want to shape the next phase, not just consume passively.
